Marshall's Review Philips Velo 500 Page Six

The Velo 500 operating system is Windows-CE 2, and
it integrates well with Windows 95, 98, ME (my OS). I don't
know if the Velo 500 will work with Windows XP. There
are elements of WinCE that work together with MS Office
and Outlook, as far as synchronization is concerned.

I have Outlook and Word on my PC, and was able to easily
convert files back and forth between my Velo, and my PC.
However, I do not have the entire Office suite, and was
unable to get Pocket PowerPoint to work, I suppose for
that reason. The WinCE edition of Internet Explorer
works well, and I was able to transfer HTML files from
my PC to my Velo, and view web pages on the Velo.
When you connect the Velo to the PC via the dock,
you can see the following Velo applications on your PC desktop:

Here is a photo of the docking cradle. You can see a
small "plug" that fits into the side of the Velo 500.
The docking cradle provides for battery recharging,
as well as synchronization.
