My favorite PDA has always been the Sharp Wizard OZ-770, and that
is the major theme of this website. However, the Wizard 700 series
was discontinued by Sharp several years ago. My trusty 770 is
beginning to show its age, and it has become rather expensive
to replace. The OZ-770 is selling on EBay for about $200 for a new
one "in the box." I balk at spending that much money for a simple PDA,
so I have gone "questing" for a substitute.
The HandSpring Treo 90 is an interesting PDA. As the Wizard,
it too has been discontinued. However, it is available in plentiful
quantities on EBay for under $100. I purchased mine several
weeks ago for $75, and an additional $6 for shipping. In this short
review I will give you some photos and comments, and then a list of
links for more information about the Treo 90.
Here is a photo of my Treo 90 with my OZ-770. You can see that
the Treo is only half as large as the Wizard. Also, the Treo is
only half the weight of the 8oz Wizard.
