Marshall's Review
Palm M500 and
Seiko ThumBoard

The OZ-770 is becoming difficult to find, and expensive to buy.
I bought mine two years ago, at a discount price from an online electronics
seller for $49.99. The OZ-770 is no longer readily available from
retailers. Radio Shack has some up to a year ago for $99.99, but
they are now completely out of stock. The OZ-770 can be found for sale
on EBay, but a "new in the box" unit may fetch up to $300. Used ones are
going for $150. This is a testimonial to the design of the OZ-770,
and Sharp made a mistake discontinuing the model. If Sharp had
simply beefed it up by increasing memory to 8MB, I believe it would
be selling well in retail shops around the world.

We live in a changing world, and any PDA you buy will go out of production in favor of new models, or for some other reason. The M500 is not being produced any longer, because Palm has come out with new models with more memory and new features. However, new M500s are still easily available on EBay for $50. This is an incredible bargain for an 8MB PDA with an expansion card slot! The Seiko ThumBoard is also out of production by Seiko, but may be found easily on EBay, and sells there for about $10. Thus, for $60, plus shipping costs, you may have a really great PDA combination Palm and keyboard. Here is a photo of my Seiko ThumBoard new in the packaging:
