Marshall's Review
NEC MobilePro 770
Page Five (Last)

The NEC MobilePro 770 has some other great features:

My favorite: The Compact Flash card slot, located at the front of the unit
-- see the photo below:

I have a card reader on my PC. The MobilePro 770 comes with a serial
sync cable (not USB), which is a slow method of transfering
information. However, with the compact flash card, it becomes easy
to load info directly onto the card with your PC, and then simply put
the compact flash card in the 770. Voila! Your information is
now on the MobilePro 770, quick and easy.

I especially found this nice for viewing websites that I saved to my PC,
with Pocket Internet Explorer, one of the included applications
of Windows CE. I transfered a website with hundreds of pages, and was
able to read all the pages at my leisure a few weeks ago, when I was
flying to Iowa on vacation.

Concluding thoughts: If you are looking for a replacement for
your Wizard, the MobilePro 770 is a possibility. The price is low.
It is available on EBay. The screen is excellent. You can actually type
on it. On the other hand, it weighs almost two pounds, and you
cannot put it in your pocket. If pocket portability is important,
then this is not the unit for you. If word processing, or reading ebooks
is what you want, then this handheld computer is a definite
contender for your interest.

Now that I have reviewed the MobilePro 770 for my website,
I am willing to sell it. If you would like to have this unit, including
all the cords, software, extra battery pack, ac power supply, etc
(but not the CF card), you can have it all for $100, plus $10 for postage
anywhere in the 48 states. (Cashier checks or money orders only, please)
