I believe Radio Shack and Sharp have made a good decision
in providing a complete printed manual in Spanish (Manual de Manejo),
as well as a 20,000 word Spanish/English translator built right
into the ROM of this organizer. Here is a photo that shows
everything that comes in the package, including the manual in Spanish:
Final recommendations: If you are satisfied with an organizer that has a nice keyboard, keeps thousands of names and addresses, and has a Spanish/English translator, then the EL-6996c may be just what you need. It is a nice size to carry, light and attractive. The translator works well, although it only translates words, not sentences.
However, if you are looking for something with a larger screen, and the capability of developing memos more than 96 letters in length, you must continue to shop for a different organizer. If only Sharp would add a large screen to the inside of the cover, and increase memo length to a decent size, this would be a viable replacement for the venerable OZ-700 series.
