NO WAR FOR OIL, NO TO A NEW WAR AGAINST IRAQ!
STOP RAM-BUSH's WAR HYSTERICS!

The Senate is more interested in special interests in Washington and not interested in the security of the American people"

These were the words US President Ram-Bush used to attack the Democrats in the Senate. Bush stressed the obvious in his speech in Trenton, New Jersey last Monday, but the Los Angeles based Peoples Coalition Against War (PCAW) says, "Look who's talking!"

Who has been working with oil companies, HMO's, arms factories and for special interests all these years? Bush and his cronies Rumsfeld and Cheney!

While we sympathize with the Democrats for standing up against Bush, we are still dismayed on how they themselves kowtow to the interests of the big multi-national corporations and have initiated countless aggressive US actions against their perceived enemies.

We ask what nation has systematically reimposed its overbearing military presence in the Asia-Pacific after its defeat in the Vietnam war and is conducting a crackdown against progressive forces and individuals in the Southeast Asian nations?  Who has transformed the Philippines into a " big military base" and a launching pad for further imperialist aggression upon other parts of the world like Iraq, Iran, North Korea and China?

The bloody record of the US speaks for itself. The Bush-Rumsfeld-Cheney trio has supported brutal and cruel civil-military dictatorships posing as "liberal civil authorities" all over the world like in Colombia, Peru, Paraguay, Pakistan, and in the Philippines.

The Bush administration has imposed trade and economic blockades in Cuba, Iraq, and North Korea despite public outcry against its uncivilized behavior. It has acted as the global imperial police force but will not let international criminal courts try American citizens or soldiers.

PCAW firmly believes that Iraq has no military capability to contest or even defend itself from US military aggression. Even Britain's Tony Blair's recent accusations against Iraq showed nothing new and only brought up the old data they used against Iraq after the 1991 Gulf War. It is very pathetic to be alarmed over 20 missiles that Iraq reportedly possesses against the overpowering might of the Allied powers now menacing Iraq on the Persian Gulf and around the Middle East. Who should we be afraid of? A country which had 90% to 95% of its military arsenal during the Gulf War that ended in 1991 or the country with the largest amount of weapons of mass destruction in the world and has actually used them to kill thousands of innocent civilians in Hiroshima and Nagasaki during World War II?

Going to another war entails huge budgetary allocations and more people's money will be diverted to the US endeavors, which only benefit the few large corporations and is useless and only harmful for the majority of us. We need the $16 B to create more jobs, build more schools, for universal health care, for more health clinics and medicines, for health care for children and seniors!

PCAW appeals to all freedom loving Americans to stop the "never ending, perpetual" war against what the US government defines as terror. We say NO to another $16 B war against Iraq or any nation. Stop the US military war machine from diverting precious people's money from people's concerns like jobs, health and education.

We reiterate our call to all progressive organizations and individuals to unite and act now to stop the war and end the US war of terror against the oppressed peoples and nations of the world.

NO TO WAR, YES TO PEACE!

WE NEED HEALTH CARE, JOBS AND BREAD!
