| The Peter C. Rollins Award is presented to the graduate student with the best presentation dealing with a popular culture issue. The Award includes a prize of $100. The Michael K. Schoenecke Award is presented to the graduate student with the best American Culture presentation. The award includes a prize of $100. The Dianna Cox Award is presented to the graduate student with the best papers on images of women in popular culture. The award includes a prize of $100. The Lawrence Clayton Award is presented to the graduate student with the best paper on Texas Culture written for a SW/TEXAS PCA/ACA meeting. The award includes a prize of $100. The Jerry Bradley Award is presented to the graduate student who writes the best creative writing prepared for a SW/TX PCA meeting. The Award includes a prize of $100. The Phyllis Bridges Award recognizes an outstanding graduate essay in the field of biography studies. The award includes a prize of $100. The Kenneth Davis Award recognizes an outstanding graduate essay in the field of folklore studies. The award includes a prize of $100. The Charles Redd Center Award for Western Studies is presented to the graduate student with the best paper dealing with a Western studies issue. Particularly welcome are papers centering themselves on the Intermountain West (defined as the states of Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Arizona, and New Mexico). The Redd Center Award includes a prize of $300 and a Redd Center Award plaque. |

| Paper or presentation submissions must include the presenter's complete contact information (snail mail and e-mail addresses), and a 250-word proposal with a full title. Panel submissions must consist of three to four presenters. Include each presenter's complete contact information (snail mail and e-mail), and a 250-word proposal and full title for each presentation. | Once we have accepted your proposal, you must check the PCA/ACA SW/TX Conference website for registration information. PLEASE NOTE: Presenters should plan to attend the entire conference as we have limited control over the placement of presentations in the program. |
