What is
PC ADDICTS DEMO?
or
(Confessions of a Polymer Clay Addict)

This is my sad story of addiction, but I've heard testimonies from others just like it....
We are a group of people who are hopelessly addicted to
POLYMER CLAY
Some of us willingly, or maybe out of curiosity, bought our first block of Polymer Clay. Some of us received our first block (s) of polymer clay as a gift from a well intending family member or friend.
I bought my first block of Polymer Clay just to see what all the fuss was about.
I had walked by Polymer Clay in Craft Stores many times and thought
"Hmmph...a clay you bake in the oven...how good could it be?"
I envisioned a group of 6 year olds sitting at a table in school with the "clay", and thought "How immature....."
But curiosity did finally win.....and I bought a couple of packages.
After I got my pc home and unwrapped it, squished it, rolled it, pounded it, and horribly abused it, I thought
"Well, that was fun, but is that all I can do with this stuff?"
So, I typed in a search engine on the internet
"Polymer Clay Tutorials".
Big Mistake!

So began my additction!
I found tutorials on everything from A-Z.
I began downloading every tut I could find. But that wasn't good enough. I needed more. I decided I needed a printed version of the tuts as well.
It cost me a small fortune in printer ink and paper.
I began secretly printing the tuts when my husband wasn't home to see what I was doing.
I knew he would disapprove of the amount of ink and paper I was using for this little "hobby" I had began.
The more tuts I found, the more I needed.
I began working with pc making the items I downloaded and printed off the internet.
The results fascinated me.
So, I made another, and another......getting better each time I fashioned an item.
I joined Polymer Clay webrings, and Yahoo Groups to learn more and more.
I discovered I should have a Pasta Machine to condition the clay.
As it was nearing Christmas, I gave my "Wish List" to members of my family.
My wish list consisted of the following:
  • 1) Pasta Machine
  • 2) Polymer Clay any color
  • 3) Polymer Clay any color
  • 4) Polymer Clay any color
  • 5) Polymer Clay any color........
Thinking they were bieng kind, my family did as I requested.
For Christmas I received a Pasta Machine and tons of Polymer Clay.
Christmas Day, I made things with my pc....
(I could hardly tear myself away from it to make Christmas Dinner)
Boxing Day I made things with my pc....
I began buying Books on how to make every cute thing under the sun with pc.
    Not enough....
I subscribed to online PC magazines.....
    Not enough....
I subscribed to PC magazines that are mailed to me....
On and on, more and more until today.
I found online demos and started attending them.
Although the PC Online Demo Group I belonged to was very good, there just wasnt enough of them.
    I needed more.....

And so the birth of this
    PC ADDICT DEMO Group.
In my travels I encountered others who craved more and more information about this addicting substance.
The purpose of the group is to temporarily releve the cravings for more PC info and fun.
