CLAY LIFTED ROSE
For this tut I will be using a slice from the
Rose Cane Demo.
Slice off a piece of Rose Cane about 1/2 inch thick.
With your Dollar Store Craft Knife slice around each petal beginning with the center.

As you cut around the petals, begin pulling down on the outside of the rose cane.
This pulling down will begin to make the petals "stand up".
Once you have all the petals cut, take the tip of your knife and gently lift the petals, still pull down the outside of the cane.
You can see by this side view the petals are lifted.
And, notice also how the base of the rose is now in a cone shape because of the pulling down motion.
Once all your petals are lifted, gently pinch the outside center of each petal.

The finished rose.
