Hot Rod Page-2
First drive. Only 200 metres, but it was under it's own power
Another view, showing the light weight plastic racing fuel tank.
Rear end shot. 9" Ford, ladder bars, coil springs. Should be ready for the 10's pretty soon!.
Nova 'daily driver' in the background.
Body now has a layer of 'glass all over. Looks a bit rough but some filler and a bit of elbow grease will sort that out.
Fuel tank has been fabricated and fitted. Should hold a goodly amount of juice
A few days later and it has a coat of red lead and a roll bar. Plans were to race it as is, and try to go for the elusive 10 second record.
Every home should have one:  A Hot Rod!
A few more weeks pass by, and the roll bar has been trimmed down, the 'glass smoothed out a little, and a coat of chrome yellow sprayed over it all. A little flat black tidies up the chassis too.  Plans changed recently, and we have decided to leave the Philippines and move to the UK. The car can't go with us as rules and regulations would never allow it on the British roads.  It is going to a good home though and I hope it sees plenty of use.
