The Putnam-Houser house was built in 1800 just west of Belpre, Ohio on ground now owned by Shell Chemical Co. The house was moved to Blennerhassett Island on December 30 1986. Today it is part of the Blennerhassett Island complex.

This photo shows the Putnam-Houser House shortly after it was moved to Blennerhassett Island. The house was donated to the Blennerhassett Island Historical State Park by the Shell Chemical Company.
