Even More of H-1's Memories
(They didn't all fit on one page)

One weekend, Amy, Jess and Amber decided to take a break from the apartment and go study at Barnes & Noble. We sat in the Starbucks Cafe part of it because there were not any empty seats anywhere else. We all got something tasty to drink too. We read a few interesting books such as Trading Spaces books and a book full of things that boring people do, and many others. It was fun. We also met a girl who is looking into some different schools and PBU is one of them. She may come visit PBU and stay with us when she does.
We also took a picture of Jess and Amber walking outside of Barnes & Noble, but Amy hasn't developed her pictures yet so we don't have it.

Halloween 2003

Thanks to those who allowed us to borrow clothes for our costumes!

Jess and Amber spent all afternoon making the costumes. Besides the logos on the shirts, it also says the color of the crayon on the leg of our pants. If you click on the picture to the right, you can see all of the yummy candy we received at this HUGE development in Yardley. Many houses gave out full size candy bars, and they didn't seem to care that we were not young kids. The last house we went to was giving out crayon key chains, so everyone got their color.

The picture below is the inspiration for this year's Halloween outfits.

Amber's grandmom sends her packages with very random things in it. One package had edible bubbles made by Pez. These pictures are of Amy trying to eat the edible bubbles. They were cherry flavored and very disgusting. After Amy tried eating some they were thrown away.

Amber and Amy doing stress relieving exercises. In Life Management, we learned about stress. There are many ways to relieve stress. The book had quite a few stress relieving exercises. In this picture, Amy and Amber are doing on of those exercises.

Jess, Amber and Erin doing "The Firm"

Exercising is another way to relieve stress. This picture is from Jess, Amber and Erin doing "The Firm" exercise video. Way to burn that chub girls!

Jess the morning after the SuperBowl. The day after the SuperBowl was probably just as exciting as the actual SuperBowl itself. Amber and Jess each got about 3 hours of sleep and Amy got about 6 or 7 hours. Due to their lack of sleep Amber and Jess were very simple all day until they finally went to bed at 8pm. They watched Kindergarten Cop then Finding Nemo. Dorie inspired them to also talk in whale. Their sanity that day was questionable because their brains weren't working properly. I'm sure you can imagine how fun they must have been.

Jess massaging Amy
Amy is very good at allowing others to serve her. This is one instance of her allowing Jess to serve her by giving her a back massage.

Melissa, Amy and Jess are all teaching themselves how to play the guitar. Needless to say there is constantly a guitar being played. They have improved greatly since they started!

Mel and Amber playing Chess

Melissa brought a chess board back to school one weekend. She then played Amber in a best out of three match. Amber won all the games they played!

WOL SuperBowl 2003

The WOL SuperBowl is an all-nighter where teens go to either a Philadelphia Phantoms hockey game or a Philadelphia 76ers basketball game, then after a rally they go bowling roller skating and all sorts of fun stuff. For the SuperBowl, the five of us (Andrew, Jess, Amber, Amy and Mikela) were in charge of running Penndel Lanes. We were there from a little before midnight till 6:15. Churches would come in two hour intervals, and there was 120 people each time. We had to tell people what lanes they were bowling on, and what the rules were etc. The first group also got all you can eat pizza and sodas. After handing out pizza and helping get the churches situated on their lanes, we ran various contests and gave prizes for all sorts of different things. Besides making them do crazy things, we also did Bible trivia, an dhad them sing various kids songs. The pictures below are of us running various contests from seeing how many Lifesavers you can stick on your face to singing "You are my Sunshine" to one of your youth leaders.
