From Britain to the U.S.

While they worshipped their American counterparts, the British musicians reworked many of their compositions. A new generation of Blues fans would be the victor. The Rolling Stones and the Animals were two of the most known reworkers. Jimi Hendrix, an American living in Britain, too. From rock to blues. Then, back to rock. Then doing both. And, even other stuff. From Britain, some rock artists in the United States, began to pick up some British Blues versions of redone material. Paul Butterfield was one of them. The Doors, another. Canned Heat, too. From San Francisco to Santa Clara. Texas. The Fillmore auditoriums. New York. Groups like The Electric Flag and Led Zeppelin. played the Blues. From Texas came Janis Joplin and Johnny Winter. One band that flourished on remixing old Blues songs was The Allman Brothers Band. Their music reveals a lot of this reworking. So what we have is this. Old Blues renditions were reworked in Britain with much success. Back in the U.S., musicians became aware of this success and experimented themselves. With the help of non-acoustical means, the Blues was entirely reworked through electronics. It prospers today...
