"Max and The Magic Carpet" by Bob Carrau - Challenge: Handling rejection

Ord is excitedly planning a big picnic for his friends, but Max is fascinated with an old flying carpet of Quetzal's. Feeling sad and ignored by his buddy, Ord wants to go home. Emmy and Cassie persuade Ord to stay and play with them instead. When Max and the magic carpet hit a tree branch and fall into a Huggly-Snuggly flower, Ord is there to make the rescue. He then gets up the courage to explain to Max that this is the worst day of his life because he's been looking forward to playing with him, and all Max wants to do is ride the carpet.

What I saw:

Max and the Magic Carpet
They go to Ords picnic, he brought lots. Quetzal cleans out his house, gives Max his old carpet, Max is more interested in the carpet than Ord. Max buzzes around Ord. Ord competes with the carpet. Ord crashes into a puddle. Max still flies around in the carpet. Max likes the carpet more... Ord pulls out a lot of snacks. Max dive bombs Ord, grabs the cake. Ord gets sad. Ord tells Max howhe feels, he tries, but gets depressed more. Ord flies home. He doesn't want to play, and Cassie and Emmy convincing him to stay. Ord sees Max have fun... huggly snugglyflower. Ord pops Max out, Max realizes he hurt Ords feelings. They fly the carpet. Father speaks
