Episode #1 "Pigment of Your Imagination"
Written By: Not Stated... check later...
Overview: [courtesy of South Dakota PBS]
Challenge: Putting together a puzzle
The group runs out of paint just as they are applying the finishing touches to their art pieces for I Love My Mommy Day. Quetzal instructs them to retrieve more colors from Rainbow Canyon before it rains and all the shades run together. During their journey, the ceramic plate on which their map is painted accidentally breaks. Attempting to piece it back together, the gang works to match colors, shapes, edges and corners.
What I saw:
Did not write anything... hrmm... I'm visually seeing the episode all over in my head. they run out because Ord sneezes because Max showed him some Earth dandelions... Seems like Ord is allergic to the fine dust... Guess his nose is pretty dry, since there isn't any mucus to trap any irritants like these... I think it's cause he lives in a clay cave at the Stickleback Mountains [clay tends to dry up the air real fast, and you'd get more sensitive to irritants that way. The ceramic plate breaks because Max and Emmy were wrestling over it, pulling back and forth. The path takes them past Turtle Rock, around the giant dandelions, and they go to the Rainbow Canyon to get the paint pigment. I don't know what they mix the paint with, but i think it's some kid of sticky sap, like Plump Gump juice. This episode was focused into Level 12 of the Gameboy game "Dragon Wings" It would have been cooler if it was more than just 1 can of paint.
Comments:
I like watchin Ord sneeze at the dandelions... I don't like him to suffer, but i think it's cool to watch him blow... He's got strong lungs. How does the colors get back to normal after a rain? I think it's because after it rains, the next day, there's a strong wind that dries away the mess, and it flakes off and falls to the floor of the canyon. The canyon can be real, because it is made of sedimentary rock, moved there by seismic activity... I would like to see an episode that has some seismic activity... that'd be a great lesson on disaster preparedness.
