*    Band structure calculations of perovskite materials by  LAPW method and assisting the photocatalysis sup-group (Computational)

*      Assisting in designing and synthesis of high-efficiency ZnS phosphor for display applications



 


Post-doctoral Fellow                                                      (2001.11~2003.12), Synchrotron X-ray  Laboratory, Department of Material Science and  Engineering, POSTECH, S. Korea

 

                Responsibilities:

*    Synthesized Transition Metal Nanoparticles in wet chemical (aqueous and non-aqueous medium) using Synchrotron Radiation induced metal reduction (/electroless method) and characterized them

*      Studied the real time chemical process of radiation-induced deposition by synchrotron X-ray Imaging and EXAFS

*    Used ‘Bottom up’ approach and Synthesized pure and doped nanoparticles of II-VI semiconductors viz ZnS, CdS etc. by wet chemical methods (colloidal and sol-gel method)

*      Produced hybrid inorganic and organic nanocomposite for device application by using vacuum deposition methods

            Responsibilities:

*    Fabricated LB films of organic molecules over inorganic substrates and studied their electrical properties

*    Deposited metal electrodes, organic thin films by Physical vapor deposition

*      Characterized the thin films for optical and electrical properties
