| WRAPUP: The Mercury had a great season that feateured a third place finish in the league. Featuring two of the top guards in the league with Lauren Martin and Mariah Starkey, the Mercury was one of the few teams to have multiple players named to the "Player of the Week" award. The Mercury started out the tournament by knocking off two very tough teams in the Winner's bracket in the Dream and the Comets. In the third round they faced the Liberty and were knocked down to the Elimination bracket. After a very hard fought game with the Sparks, the girls won the Elimination Bracket and faced the Liberty oin the championship game. The Mercury played very well on the final day and finished second in what may be the most competitive year yet in the PBL. |
