Upon first recieving the TL i was re-considering my purchase being i had
heard alot of bad things about in chat rooms after i ordered it. After i
recieved it the first thing i did was head to local pro shop and get my tank
filled and but a 100 rounds of paint. After shooting the gun there was a
slight improvment on how smooth the gun operated from the stock spyder but
nothing major. The only big improvment was the barrel which is better than a
reguler spyder barrel but is still not up to par with aftermarket barrels.
Now getting away from the actuall gun there are alot of accesories which help
make this gun better than a stock spyder. The first is the field strip setup
that is on it. The field strip is very nice but it is easy to loose the clip
that holds it on but a $10 investment in an autococker field strip pin works
great and is well worth it. The rear cocking is nice but is more for looks
than anything else so there is no real advantage over it except no more
cocking pins to loose. The sight rail with beaver tail is a great piece of
equipment. It allows for use of a sight and it also helps from getting hit
by the bolt which can really screw up your mask.
The LP chamber on the TL is worthless and all that it really does is save you
10 bucks if you decide to go LP. The front grip is nice as you almost have
to havr one for a balanced gun but an expansion chamber would work
cosiderable better and still save the same purpose. the so called venture
bolt is typicle of kingman as the only thing that could possibly cause a
venturi essect is the star which is in the back of the bolt so it does no
good.
Now actuall firing of the gun. The trigger is a little sloppy but can be
easily fixed for free if you have the right parts lying around. The barrel
is not as good as they try to make it sound but is still an improvment pver
previous stock barrelsa but are nothing compared to high quality barrels such
as Smart Parts, Dye, J&J, and Lapco. When it gets down to pulling the trigger
shoot your brains out the TL cycles fast enough that you can not possibly out
shoot the gun itself since kingmann was really generous on there 10 BPS cycle
rate as through experimenting i have found it closer to 15-17. The trigger
pull is gritty feeling but it can be polished smoth and the overall
performace of the gun is far better than ani have seen in its price range
