| Overview The Tippmann 98 custom, Model 98 custom, custom 98 and other various names would have to be the most rugged marker ever made. The 98's simple design is probably why it is so rugged. The 98 includes a simple blow back semi auto design, under 3 pound trigger pull, high performance CVX Valve, quick release elbow, short thread barrel, adjustable rear sight, side cocking, 45 degree frame and is probably the most customizable marker on the market. It comes with a hopper, wire squeegee, owner's manual, gun oil and 4 Allen keys. |

| The 98 Custom doesn't look like the average PMI or Spyder you see so often. It looks rugged and durable so you won't get people saying nice gun too often but that doesn't matter it's what's inside the gun that makes people like it so much. Being different from the average Spyder and PMI look might also be a good approach. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Features The Model 98 has many features that many guns in it's class simply do not offer. Short light trigger once the spring is adjusted properly, removable elbow, CVX Valve, adjustable sight. There may not be many stock features but remember I previously said it may be the most upgradeable marker today. Some of the upgrades include double triggers, drop forwards, new valves, bolts, grips, rocket and rear cocking systems, rear velocity adjusters, expansion chambers and regulators, collapsible stocks, low pressure kits, RT kits and electronic kits. The list goes on and on its a very simple design, 2 Aluminum shells held together by screws. If you bring it to a shop you can basically do anything you want to it without harshly messing it up. |

| Velocity rating with co2 and no expansion chamber. 80 degrees on a sunny day. Phase 2 started roughly 10 minutes after. Accuracy used with c02 and all stock parts. The stock barrel isn't bad but a new aftermarket barrel would be reccomended. Past about 80 feet the stock barrel didn't group too well. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Conclusion If your a beginer or an experienced player the Tippmann 98 custom will last you years over years and will still perform great. In my opinion it is the most durable gun for under $200.00. |
