James was Ruth�s brother, they were very close, almost like best friends.
�James I�m gonna go out!� shouted Ruth grabbing her coat and opening the door. �wait, Mum said you�re not allowed out, you�ll have to invite your mates over here� sighed James. �Okay� she said closing the door and picking up the phone and dialling a number. �Hiya Alex, no, yes, no I�m not allowed out but you lot are allowed round here, yes JAMES IS HERE, Bye� said Ruth putting the receiver down and looking at the grinning James stood next to her. �What y�glad Alex is coming?� asked Ruth grinning. �Maybe, who else is coming?� asked James going slightly red. �ummmm Leigh and Joe� grinned Ruth, Joe was Ruth�s boyfriend who she had been seeing for a few months, he was a year older than her, 18. Suddenly there was a knock at the door. �That�ll be Matt n Charlie� said James going to the door. �Who�s Charlie, is he one of Matts mates?� she asked. �Nah I know him from college, and so does Matt� said James opening the door. James grinned at the two lads stood at the door and Ruth walked up to say hi but was shocked at how gorgeous Charlie was. �Hiya Ruth, you alright?� grinned Matt hugging her. �Yep never better� she grinned but never taking her eyes of Charlie. �So you�re James sister?� smiled Charlie. �Yep� she smiled. �But I thought James sister was his twin, for one you�re way to pretty to be James twin and two, how come you aren�t at our school?� asked Charlie smiling �Well erm, thanks, I go to an all Girls School y�see� she said looking up to him. �Well look who it is� smiled James. Ruth turned from Charlie to see Joe, Alex and Leigh walking up the path. �Hiya Ruth� said Leigh bounding up to her and winking at Matt who grinned cheekily back. �oi you better not have replaced me already!� laughed Joe coming to Ruth and giving her a hug. �Well is everyone gonna come in?� asked james, everyone followed him inside and went into the living room. Charlie felt a stinge of jelousy when he saw Joe putting his arm around Ruth. �I hardly know her��.� He murmured. �Lets watch 8 Mile� said Ruth jumping up to put the DVD in the player. �I�m gonna get a drink� said Joe getting up and leaving the room. Joe�s phone began to ring so Ruth looked at the screen �Camilla?� she asked. �Here give it me, I�ll answer it� said Charlie �Hello� he said. �Where are you baby?� a girls voice said �Ummm� Charlie murmured �Oh your�re on your way I see� giggled a voice �I�m waiting� she said before putting the phone down. �who was it?� asked Ruth eagerly. �Well, it certainly wasn�t his Mum� said Charlie quietly. �What�are you saying�.?� She said tears forming in her eyes. �Yes�I think so� said Charlie putting his arm around Ruth, she broke down and began to cry. Joe ran in with his drink �Hey get off her, she obviously doesn�t like it!� shouted Joe. Charlie got up �Mate I think you need to explain who Camilla is� said Charlie calmly. �she er�er..� muttered Joe. �I thought so� said Charlie �GET OUT� shouted James backing Charlie up as the others watched on, suddenly the door slammed and Joe was no more! �Omg are you alright?� asked Alex �Yes, Joe�s stupid, let him go� said Leigh putting her arm around Ruth. �LEAVE ME ALONE� shouted Ruth before running out of the room and up the stairs. �will she be alright?� asked Matt. �I dunno, I�ll go up to her� said James getting up. �No, I think Charlie should go� said Alex dragging James down onto her and grinned. �Right�� said Charlie walking out of the room. In Ruths room� There was a knock at the door. �GO AWAY� said Ruth sobbing. She heard the door open. �JAMES I SAID GET LOST� she shouted kicking the person stood behind her. �OWWWWWWWWW!� shouted Charlie. Ruth spun around surprised. �Omg, I�m sooo sorry, I thought you were James� said Ruth through sobs. �its ok� said Charlie sitting next to her on her bed. There was silence for a few minutes until Alex came running into Ruth�s room. �Ruth, Ruth guess what, I�m going out with James!� she said smiling. �Good for you� Ruth smiled. �Is there something going on here?� asked Alex cheekily. �NO!� said Ruth going red, but Charlie grinned. 1 Year Later��. �So where are your posho mates Charlie?� asked Ruth grinnng. �Here� said Charlie pointing at a crowd of lads walking over laughing. Charlie and Ruth were best friends now, but Charlie wished for more than that, but didn�t know how to tell Ruth. �Alright Charlie, finally found a girlfriend� smiled one of them. �no this is Ruth, my friend� said Charlie awkwardly, but Ruth started laughing along with them and Charlie was glad to see she liked them. �So how are things at Uppingham?� asked Charlie. �Alright actually, its better being at college there, there not as strict� said one of them. �I�m going to get a burger, anyone else want one?� asked Ruth. Everyone except Charlie and his friend Rick wanted one. �Charlie do you think that you could set me up with Ruth?� asked Rick. �Erm�yea�if you really want me to� answered Charlie Charlie walked over to Ruth and whispered into her ear �Will you go out wit Rick?� Ruth looked up at Charlie and gave him a painful look. �I like him, but I don�t wanna go out with him�I like you� she said shyly. �Really?� asked Charlie amazed. �erm..yes� she said nervously. Charlie leant in and hugged her and whispered �Me too!� The End |
