As we walked along the green grass Matt stopped, pointing to a couple of people in the distance.
�Oh no� he said, looking at James then at me �lets turn back� �But why?� I asked, knowing exactly why Matt didn�t want to go near them �the shop is in that direction, if we turn back it will take at least 30 minutes to get there� �Emma!� he said loudly �we�re not going past them, they�re a bad crowd something could happen if we went that way� �How do you know?� I asked, putting my hands on my hips �you�ve never met them before� �But look at them� he said looking back in their direction �the way they are dressed and all huddled together doing God knows what� I stamped my foot getting annoyed with my brother�s behaviour �FORGODSAKES MATT!� I yelled �they are probably just talking, like friends do you know. Just because they are in a group doesn�t mean they are up to no good� �Emma just listen!� he argued back, �I�ve been around longer then you and I know what kind of people do what kind of things, so just leave it yer! We are taking the long way and that�s that!� �You�re so pathetic!� I screamed, before making my way in the direction of the �thugs�. �EMMA!� yelled Matt and James behind me �WAIT! WE�RE COMING WITH YOU!� I stopped walking, but didn�t turn around; I waited for them to catch up. When they got to me James looked red in the face and Matt was all worn out. �God!� I said, giggling slightly �I didn�t walk ahead that far� �Oh Shut it and walk!� said Matt angrily, �I dread what�s gonna happen next� �Don�t worry Matt!� I said sarcastically �James is here to protect you from the big bad boys� James couldn�t help but laugh slightly at my comment, but he soon stopped as Matt gave him a nasty scowl. Soon we were drawing very close to the group of people ahead. |
