�Now remember don�t have too much to drink� begged Emma to Tara who was already dragging her onto the dance floor
�Yer Yer whatever MUM� came the sarcastic reply of Tara �It�s just I can�t bare it when your drunk, it scares me� said Emma, slightly self-conscious with all the strangers dancing around her. Tara just laughed and helped herself to a Bacardi, not listening to a word Emma had just said. As the night dragged on, Tara was downing her 12th drink and could barely stand up straight, let alone talk properly. As she tried to dance she lost her balance and fell onto a figure behind her. �Woah steady on there� came the deep, husky voice of the figure Tara had just fallen on. He turned around and helped her up, holding onto both her arms. Emma�s eyes widened at the sight of him, he was stunning! Tall, tanned, blonde hair which seemed to have been highlighted a few times, and a cute little gap in between his two front teeth. �Sorry about my friend� stuttered Emma, twiddling her thumbs out of nervousness �she�s had one too many� The guy laughed as he steadied Tara, finally being able to make her stand on her own two feet. �She�s ok isn�t she?� asked the guy, slightly concerned for Emma�s friend as he still held onto her. Emma sighed, why did Tara always have to get the best guys with looks AND a personality! �Yer she�s fine� mumbled Emma �she�s always like this after a drink or two, she�ll be fine in the morning� �Ok, I�m Charlie by the way� �Emma� Charlie smiled at Emma for a split second before once again, eyeing up Tara �Do you mind if I borrow your friend for the next song?� asked Charlie as Delta Goodrem�s new song came on �I think she needs to dance all this alcohol off her� Emma laughed slightly and nodded, indicating her answer was a yes. �Great!� beamed Charlie �Oh, what�s her name?� �Tara� replied Emma �Ok Tara� came the gentle tone of Charlie�s voice �It�s time you had a dance to wake you up a bit� �er�..mmmmmm�..ok� slurred Tara, before walking off into the crowd of people with Charlie�s arm wrapped around her waist. Emma sighed watching the couple disappear before she could see them no more. |
