| February 27, 2006 IT'S MONDAY.... Do you know what Monday means?? GRIPEDAY. We all hate Mondays right? - Those who said no can just leave now, i will not tolerate liars here!! Anyhow. Monday. I woke up late AGAIN. Waking up late means having to drive to school if i want to make it to class on time. I live pretty close so if i wake up when i should i can just walk which is the ideal since i don't have time to work out so i kill two birds with one stone. I didn't do that today, the second bird was too fast and got away. The Today show had a 10 minute, if that, segment on how Americans are not getting enough sleep. DUH! Katy! i could have told you that without having to talk to an "expert". We are being trained to multitask our little hearts out! And now in this world of technology, not only can we stay up waaaay past sunset thanks to the beautiful invention of electricity, but we can "work" without disturbing anyone in the house. I use quotes on work just because some of us aren't working, some of us are updating our Ipod lists, answering mails, playing tetris, BLOGGING, etc. The EXPERT said we need 7 to 8 hours of sleep a day- how many of us actually have the luxury of that?? Not many. IT SUCKS. Moving on.. ...Plastic packaging. DAMN IT! You know which ones i'm talking about? the kind that you get when you buy mainly electronic things (there's technology working against us again). The kind that is sealed all the way around so you have to cut the edges which sounds easy but isn't! You can almost never cut neatly which means if for some reason you have to return it- your case is all torne up!! Then there's the hazard factor. I bought a USB adaptor because now, 3 conectors are not enough for all the junk on my machine, opening it, i got a plastic cut. Not a paper cut- noooo, those are sweet and skiny and they sting but you get over it. NO, i mean a plastic cut- a gash. it hurts!! In History class i got the study guide for the mid-term. The study guide consists of 20 essay questions which we have to know because the day of the test, the professor will choose 4 random questions for us to answer. I don't think i need to rant about how this sucks. Although, if i were to take the optimist side: at least he gave us a study guide. But it's Monday- there's no time for optimism. I'll think about that on a prettier day. Like Thursday. The olympics are over. Believe it or not- this is not a gripe. I thought i would try ending on a good note since we are that much closer to Tuesday. We can finally have our prime time back! I don't ask for too much, Just give me Ellen at noon, and at 9pm Medium, Law and Order or ER. Thats all. I lie. At night gimme Seinfeld and Sex in the City- You see why i wake up late?!
