Raptors win lottery!
The odds were in the Raptors favor going into the lottery and the results were just as expected. The Raptors held on to the #1 position in the draft and with only 2 players left on their roster, it could be a big offseason for them. The Raptors have a lot of cap space and with the #1 draft pick, the Raptors look good. The Draft will be August 2nd at 7:30pm ET. It is expected that all Gn's show up live for the draft or send a draft list to [email protected]. If you do not have a draft pick then you do not need to show up live for the draft. I hope to see a lot of people there for the first CSL 1996 draft.

Retirements
The season has ended and some players decided to hang it up and call it quits. Magic Johnson tops the list of players who wanted to retire but there were only eight players who retired. Be sure to check out the transactions page to see the list of all players that decided to retire this season.

Champions!
Champions! It was a lot closer than expected and most will be surprised with the outcome and how good the series really was but in the end, the Bulls came out on top. The Sonics put an amazing battle and getting to the finals was an amazing battle too. But unfortunatly for the Sonics they will be waiting until next year if they have plans on winning it all. They should be happy to have done so well against the Bulls and made an interesting series out of it. The battle the Sonics put up is probably a big surprise to most people.

But for the Bulls, it was probably harder than expected but the outcome is what everyone knew from the beggining. Congratulations to WillC for taking the best and making them better and winning the first CSL2 Championship! The Bulls were obviously led by Michael Jordan but got great play from everyone all year. Dennis Rodman led the league in rebounds, Elden Campbell was defensive player of the year, Scottie Pippen was all-league 1st team SF and all-defensive team SF, and Jason Kidd came in late and ended the season with a nice 15ppg, 8.3apg and 5.0rpg. It os no surprise that the Bulls won but the amazing job WillC has done with a great team is just awsome.

Congratulations to everyone on the great season... Good work to the Sonics especially for being the only team even close to the Bulls and congratulations to WillC's Bulls for obviously winning it all. I hope next season will be even better.

Playoffs and other News
The finals are underway and after the first three games of the finals, tghe Chicago Bulls are up but not beating the Sonics as bad as expected. The Bulls grabbed the first two wins and they were big wins for the Bulls but the Sonics came to play in their first of three straight games that would be in Seattle and Gary Payton just took over in the game! Payton led the Sonics to a big 122-105 wins and it was all mainly because of the Sonics amazing third quarter run. Gary Payton ended the game with 35 points, 17 assists, 3 rebounds, 3 steals and only 1 turnover. Payton was great but the Bulls are still up 2-1.

Also, there was a league email sent out today and that email was for many important things regarding the league. Main things are activity for some Gm's, offseason is coming and will be August 2nd and if you will not be able to attend the draft then send a draft list to [email protected]. It would be great to have all Gm's live but if you cannot be there live then send a draft list or the CPU will make your selections. This may work out bad for some people in different time zones, or who have other priorities to come first so send a draft list. Another thing discussed in the league email was about players who want to re-sign. I know a lot of people have been wondering about that and asking but it is finally up and at the message boards. All Gm's have until July 29th to post who they plan to re-sign and let go. I think that was all of the important news discussed. If you missed the email then let me know so I can send you a copy, if you are active and have already seen the stuff around at the message boards then this will not be any news to you. That is about all. The Finals will continue tommorow (July 26th) so good luck to both the Bulls and Sonics Gm's in the finals.

Oaklands Finest Meet in Finals
Oakland has developped two of the best point guards in the league and the two are very good players. Both are known for their great defense and will do what it takes to win. If you do not know who the two are by now, they are Gary Payton of the Sonics and Jason Kidd of the Bulls. Jason Kidd is a top young, up and coming Point Guard while Gary Payton is near the top of his game now after coming off a great season where he won all defensive and all league first team honors. Jason Kidd is younger but still a great player who will share the success that Payton is getting soon and could even grow to be a better player! The two are good friends and it will be a great series to see with the two going head to head in the finals. But that is not the only big story of the Finals. The simple fact that Seattle went from 7th in the West to getting in the finals is great. The Bulls went through the playoffs with just one loss so far and that is amazing too. Toni Kukoc will be playing against the team that traded him in the finals and Toni is looking to prove it was a bad move. So many great things to watch and both teams had amazing seasons. The Bulls have dominated everyone so far and hope to continue in the finals while the Sonics have surprised two amazing teams that were expected to go further than the Sonics in the past two rounds with wins over Houston and the Lakers. Payton has been huge for Seattle and Kidd has been big for the Bulls. That is a great matchup but do not get caught up watching the two battle because Michael Jordan will probably steal the spotlight in this series.

Conference Finals
The West is still wild where the #7 seed Sonics have been surprising everyone just to make it to the conference finals and now that they are in the conference finals, they are playing great. Gary payton already has a triple-double in the series and just played amazing in this high scoring series between the #7 and #1 seeds in the West. The East had a few surprises but in the end, I think most knew that the Bulls and Magix were the two best built teams. In that series, it is all Chicago. The Bulls are keeping their perfect record up in the playoffs and are up 3-0 against the Magic so far. Shaq and Zo have been playing good but they are not playing as good as they normally do or as good as they need to. Defensive player of the year Elden Campbell and Dennis Rodman are doing their jobs and not letting any of the big men explode and it is working great for the Bulls. Unfortunatly for the Magic, if they want to win they need to beat the Bulls in four straight games and two of the remaining four games will be in Chicago. No team has beat the Bulls four times this season so for the Magic to do it all in one sim will be hard.

Wild West
The best series of the first round was obviously the Texas series which went the full 5 games, there were two upsets in the first round but the 2nd round was just as good in the western conference. In the Spurs and Rockets series which had the two other texas teams playing down, the series went to a full 7 games. In the Sonics and Rockets series, it also went a full 7 games. There was even an upset in the west. The Western conference is definetly amazing compared to the East which just has the Bulls running through opponents with another sweep and the Magic upset the Celtics 4-2.

Bulls are crushing all opponents
After the first three games of the 2nd round, all of the series are tied 2 - 1 except for the Bulls vs Knicks series where the Bulls are leading 3-0. The Bulls are one of the greatest teams of all-time so it is not much surprise but the Knicks have given the Bulls a hard time during the regular season. The Knicks are the only team with 3 wins over the Bulls and all regular season wins and at the end of the regular season, the season series between the two teams was 3-1 for the Knicks. But the Bulls are proving that what happens in the regular season does not mean much as the Bulls jumped out to a 3-0 lead. The Bulls are looking strong but the series is far from over. Remember the Knicks already proved they can beat the Bulls with three regular season wins so the Knicks are capable of pulling some wins out of this series but they have hard work to do if they plan on winning this series. The three other series could all go either way right now because they are all 2-1. Next sim should be good. The final 4 games of the 2nd round will be simmed tommorow (July 22nd) at 7:30pm et.

Battle Of Texas
Texas is a big basketball state and the three NBA teams fight to earn respect and to just win the battle of the texas teams is big but who would have thought, that in the first round, the #1 seed Rockets and #8 Mavs would go down to game 5, and have the result of the final game be 100 - 99. Well it happened. The two texas teams had a very good series especially for a #1 and #8 seed. And the winner got to go up against the San Antonio Spurs... Another Texas teams. I just thought that was cool how close the texas teams are in the playoff picture this season in CSL2. There were only two series to go the full 5 games in the first round, there were three 3-0 sweeps in the first round and three upsets. Check out the playoff picture to view the box scores and the results of the series after the first round. Tommorow (July 21st) will be the first three games of the 2nd round. Sorry for the late sim tonight guys. I had to work and it was unexpected.

Robinson wins MVP!
So much news to talk about. I will try to make it quick. First off, the regular season is over and playoff schedule is up now. The playoffs start July 20th at 7:30pm ET so get your lineups in on time. The final player of the week award went to Mookie Blaylock of the Hawks. The final player of the month award went to Hakeem Olajuwon of the Rockets and the final rookie of the month award went to Gary Trent of the Blazers. But those are just the small awards. The regular season awards were anounced tonight and the MVP award went to David Robinson of the Spurs. David Robinson led the league in scoring with 29.3ppg, and Robinson grabbed 11.1rpg, 3.6apg, 1.1spg and 1.6bpg. Robinson played in all 82 regular season games for the Spurs, grabbing 49 double-doubles this season, winning 38 player of the game awards, 3 player of the week awards and 1 player of the month award. Other Major awards that were won are Rookie of the year which was given to Kevin Garnett of the Wolves, Defensive player of the year and that went to Elden Campbell of the Bulls and the 6th man of the year award went to Eric Montross of the Celtics. The league also announced it's all-league first, second and 3rd team awards, all-defensive first and second team awards and the all-rookie first and second team awards. I guess that covers it all. Playoffs are coming! Things are getting good. I will post a list of player who wish to re-sign with their teams later. I will also explain how all of that works for those who do not know. Check the site for results... There is a lot of news. Also scroll down to find a playoff schedule link if you didn't see it already.

Playoff schedule
The playoff schedule is up and posted under the same link as the normal league schedule page. Check it out by clicking the "Sim Dates" link or by clicking here. The playoffs will be starting Sunday, July 20th. There will be a sim every day during the playoffs so it should be good and keep you busy. The final regular season sim will be tonight (July 18th) at 7:30pm.

Bulls hit 70 wins mark
There are only 5 days left in the season and there are some great playoff runs and the playoff race will be huge and normally that is an amazing time in the season. But this season is a little different. The playoff runs are great but the Bulls run for top all-time record is even better. The Bulls have won 10 straight games now and are at 71 wins. It wouldn't be a huge surprise to know they got to 71 wins because they were possibly the best all-time team to begin with, and then their Gm has made incredible moves to make them even better but the highlight of this run is that they are doing it without MJ! Michael Jordan has missed half of the season and will just be returning and it amazes me to know this team is that strong even without Michael Jordan. Michael Jordan will be returning to play to keep the streak going but the Bulls are just amazing now. The final sim of the regular season is on Friday and after that I will post the playoff schedule. The playoffs will be good this season and the Bulls are definetly going into the playoffs as the favorites.

Magic returns!
After being out for seasons, the great Magic Johnson made his return to pro basketball! Magic Johnson had planned to return since the start of the season when the Lakers traded him to Golden State and in his first games back, he played great. Magic averaged 16.3ppg, 6.5rpg and 7.5apg in his first 4 games back. Also, this was the sim before the trade deadline so there is no more trading that can be done now. Jason Kidd got moved to the stacked Chicago Bulls who will have an amazing trio with Kidd, Jordan and Pippen when healthy and this is added to an already good team with Dennis Rodman, Elden Campbell, Ron Harper, Sherman Douglas and more. Expect big things from the Bulls and the Bulls should be thinking of getting the best all-time single season record. Right now the Bulls record is 62 - 9 and with only 15 games remaining in the season and only 2 sims left, The Bulls have a real good chance. They also have Michael Jordan returning soon so this team could be great. The results are all up now... check the site to see all of the results. Gary Payton and David Robinson won the player of the week awards, Shaquille O'Neal won the player of the month award and Bryant Reeves won the rookie of the month award.

Trade Deadline Approaches
The season is alomost ending but there is still time for trades and for teams to prepare for the playoffs. It hasn't been the greatest season for active Gm's but there are Gm's out there looking to make some moves before the trade deadline is over. Next sim is supposed to be 10 days but I changed it to 9 days to give more time to make last minute trades. That will make the trade deadline at Monday July 14th at 7:30pm ET. I will also do a live sim then too and that will only be a 5 day sim. Well I hope you guys understand the changes and make your deals to prepare for the playoffs or the future soon because the trade deadline is coming. Also the results from todays sim is up and the Bulls still lead the league of course but they had 2 losses last sim. Charles Barkley won another player of the week award which made three straight for him but then Karl Malone broke the streak winning the final player of the week award from last sim. Next sim is Friday and it will be a 9 day sim so get your lineups in before the sim and make all of the other moves you need to make before then too. Also, some of you may have noticed a few box scores weren't working on the site. I ran out of disk space but I took care of it now. The box scores from days 1 - 25 have been deleted and will not work anymore but all of the new box scores work. At the end of the season there will be a downloadable box score file for you to download all of the box scores if you wanted to save them and have them for yourself.

Zo to Orlando!
There were trades before last sim and one of the trades saw Alonzo Mourning leave Miami for Penny Hardaway. Penny Hardaway looks to help out the Heat and possibly move them out of their horrible record they currently have. Alonzo Mourning will now be playing along side Shaquille O'Neal and the 2 stars from the 1992 draft are one of the deadliest front court duos of all time. Unfortunatlty the Magic haven't been a great team since getting Alonzo Mourning. The Magic are definetly one of the most talented teams in the league and I do not know why they lost since getting Zo but the Shaq and Zo duo is scary and will give most team's nightmares. Also during last sim, the Chicago Bulls big winning streak ended in a 85 - 82 loss to the New York Knicks. Patrick Ewing was too much for the Bulls to handle.

Updates!
Great news guys. The Gm check in is done, I fired the inactive Gm's and we got some new ones here. Here are some key updates I made to the site now. First I updated the league schedule and sims will now be every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Click here to view the updated schedule to see how the remainder of the season will be. I also updated the AIM buddy list on the site. The AIM buddy list is missing a few screen names and I know a few Gm's do not have AIM so that is why it is not full. But to download the AIM buddy list Click here. And the last thing that I updated was the owners contact information page. I am missing a little bit of information for some people. I am missing a few AIM screen names, and I think I am missing one email adress. The final spots will be filled soon so keep checking back at that page to see the new Gm's. Click here for the updated Gm contacts page. That is all I have updated so far, I hope with the new Gm's and everything updated that everything will go good again. There is a sim tommorow (Wednesday, July 4th) at 7:30pm ET. Get your lineups in before the sim and I also will apologise to everyone in the league for being a little unorganised but I think everything will be back on track and this league can go good for now.

The streak continues without MJ!
It wasn't long ago when Michael Jordan got the Bulls off to a winning streak and then a few games into the streak Michael Jordan went down with an injury. Michael Jordan missed out on the all star weekend events because of this injury and will miss a lot of games but even without Michael Jordan, the Bulls have been strong. Scottie Pippen is taking over this team and Scottie Pippen got himself into the all star game and won all star game MVP during the time Jordan was down and Scottie Pippen also kept the winning streak alive. The Bulls great defense has been key for them in Michael Jordan's absence and the Bulls pushed their winning streak to 16 games and look to make it continue!

Changes
There is a new crew of Gm's in CSL2 now and they are going to be in looking to make an impact and be new active Gm's for this league. I will email every Gm, update everything on the site when all of the new spots are filled. The new available teams are Miami, New Jersey, Philly, Atlanta, Charlotte, Cleveland, Utah, LA Clippers, Phoenix, Dallas, Milwaukee and Detroit. If you are a new Gm and interested in joining then click here. I emailed all of the Gm's off of the waiting list and a few more other good Gm's that I heard good news from. Anyways, I think the new Gm's will bring much more activity to the league and next season there will be participation points to reward the more active Gm's. I am not totally for things like participation points in leagues but if it works then it works, if not then I will take it out right away. I am just trying some new things. So keep checking back at the site while I update everything here, there will be a new schedule up soon and I am simming 5 days later tonight (July 1st, 2003). The sim will be around 7:30pm ET. After that I will be on a weekly routine for the simming. Like every Monday, Wednesday and Friday for sims. Thanks to all of the Gm's who have stuck with the league so far and welcome to the league for all of the new Gm's.

League Schedule
A new league schedule will be posted soon for the sim dates for the remainder of this season. There will probably be a 5 day sim on July 1st so be sure to get your lineups in for then. After that I will probably sim on a regular schedule like every Monday, Wednesday and Firday. For now, just get your lineup in for July 1st and there will be a new schedule up after that... scroll down the page for all of the all star weekend results.

All Star Game
This event is another great one. It gets all of the best players around the league on one court and gives one conference braiging rights over the other if they come out the winner. Unfortunatly for this season, the greatest player of all-time will not be playing in the all star game due to an injury. Steve Smith will fill in Michael Jordan's starting job and Penny Hardaway will be the SG to take Jordan's roster spot on the eastern conference all star team. I do not want to go on and on about how good the game was so I will let the box score speak for it's self. I will just add the Scottie Pippen of the Bulls won the all star game MVP award with 17 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists and a steal.

Rookie-Sophomore Game!
The rookie game is always a time for the new rookie class to come together and play against the best from last season's rookie class. It always makes a great, fun game and gives some of the young talent around the league to show off their skills in a game with some of the best, up and coming stars around the league. In this season rookie game, the younger guys came out with the win... well they are kind of the younger guys even though 31 year old Arvydas Sabonis was on the rookie team, But it was Sabonis who came up big for them. Sabonis led the rookies in scoring and rebounds with 20 points and 12 rebounds. Even though Sabonis played great, the win could not be all credited to Sabonis. Kevin Garnett and Joe Smith both chipped in with double-digit scoring, Tyus Edney led the game in assists with 7 and he had 5 steals too but it was Antonio McDyess' 15 points, 12 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocks that won the first CSL2 rookie game MVP award.

Alonzo Mourning wins player of the week
It was only a 5 day sim and the shortest sim of the season but Alonzo Mounring of the Heat won the player of the week award for this sim. Alonzo Mourning led the Heat to a 4 - 1 record last sim and Alonzo dominated in those games with all over 30 point games. There still is not much news around the league to talk about but remember if you have not checked into the Gm check in thread at the message boards then you will be fired. I am expecting at least 10 new teams in the league and the waiting list is growing. Next sim is set for June 26th and it is days 56 - 59. After that it is all star weekend so next sim is your players' last chances to get into the all star game.

10 Days until All star weekend
We are done 50 days of the season now and like expected the Chicago Bulls are dominating the league. Last sim Michael Jordan won another player of the weej award for the Bulls to give him his 4th player of the week award this season already. The Nuggets and Heat are the league's worst team's right now but at least every team has 10 wins now. The Orlando Magic really picked it up last sim and they are now just 1 game out of the playoffs. But it is almost time for the First CSL all star weekend. Michael Jordan looks to lead the Eastern conference to a win in the all star game and unless he gets injured, he will be starting and playing in the all star game for sure. Well I do not know what else to say, I typed this up in a rush.. so anyways get your lineups in for next sim which is set to be on June 23rd at 7:30pm eastern. It will be days 51 - 55. Check around the site for the results.

Robinson wins player of the Month
I got to say sorry for the late sim guys. But do not worry because it is done and the results are up now! The results for the sim are up. It was days 31 - 40 and the Bulls are still dominating. The Bulls now have a 21 - 4 record to lead the eastern conference while the Jazz are on top of the West with a very good record too. The Jazz have a 22 - 6 record now led by the Stockto and Malone duo. But the second month of the season is done and the player of the month went to David Robinson of the Spurs. David Robinson has the Spurs off to a 19 - 9 record and Robinson is dominating the league. Robinson has 30.8ppg, 11.2rpg, 4.1apg, 1.6bpg and 1spg during 28 games. Robinson also won a player of the week award during last sim, Hakeem Olajuwon won the other player of the week award.
There is still a sim set for June 21st at 7:30pm eastern. Be sure to get your lineups in before then and also check out the news at the message boards. There is a Gm check in, a few nice articles and other news there too.

Highlights of the Sim!
There are a few new articles and other posts at the message boards to check out now. Last sim was our 3rd sim of the CSL2 season and puts us at Day 30 in the season. Check out the "highlights of the Sim" article at the message boards to see some of the good points and bad points out of the last sim which was days 21 - 30. Next sim will be June 19th and it will be days 31 - 40. Remember to submit your lineup for next sim if you will be making any lineup changes for next sim.
>> Click here for the "Highlights of the Sim"

Activity Dropping?
I do not know if it is just me or not but the league does not seem as active as it did when it started. I know I have been busy myself and a few Gm's have told me they are busy but the league is not very active right now and I hope things improve. I will bring in participation points rules like other league's have if I need to. I do not like those rules at all but some Gm's are in favor of it and it makes most Gm's active. So basicly you need to be more active or I will either fire some of the inactive Gm's or just bring in participation point rules like other league's have. If you do not know what they are then you probably do not want to know because I know a lot of people do not like them but others love them. Some Gm's agreed to take over and help out with certain articles and other things so if you are still interested in doing them then that would be great.
Here is a reminder from the message boards for people who agreed to help out with things. Anyways, I do not want to sound mean or anything but we all know that if the league is not active then it will just suck so I hope everything improves.

But there was still a sim today and we are up to day 30 right now. Check out the site for all of the results I guess. It should be all updated. The Bulls are starting to dominate and Michael Jordan won another player of the week award last sim and the Suns PG Kevin Johnson won the other player of the week award. In case you guys did not get to see if yet, there is a new set of power rankings from Day 20 on the message boards now.
>>Click here to view the latest power rankings

Jordan wins player of the month
One month of CSL2 is done and things are going great. The Suns have the league's best record and are leading the Western conference with a 11 - 2 record and playing great. In the East the Magic finally got a win, two actually. They got their first two wins of the season last sim and there are no winless teams now in the league. But at the top of the Eastern conference is Michael Jordan and the Bulls. The Bulls are 11 - 3 and Michael Jordan was the first player of the month is CSL2. Michael Jordan also won a player of the week award last sim. Michael Jordan is leading the Bulls with 33.4ppg, 9.1rpg and 5.7apg in 14 games. Michael Jordan is looking like an early candidate for the MVP award of this league too. Dennis Rodman of the Bulls will be healthy next sim too so the Bulls should be in good shape. Two of the three Bulls losses were to the Kings and they were both last sim but with Rodman back the Bulls are an improved team and should go on a roll.

Season Opener is Done!
It finally got under way. CSL2 has started and the first sim of the season is done! The Bulls, Spurs and Suns all share the top record in the league after the first 10 days. They all have a 6 - 1 record while the Magic got off to a real slow start. The Magic are the only winless team after 10 days and they have a 0 - 5 record. The Magic will need to do some work to improve on that record or they can just wait until their star returns. But without Shaq the Magic are not looking good. Can they wait for Shaq to come back? or will they dig themselves to big of a hole if they do? The Magic do have a talented team though, they just need to get things working right. A lot of stuff happened in this first sim though. Michael Jordan of the Bulls wins the first player of the week award for this league and Charles Barkley followed him up winning it for week 2. Well I will just leave you guys to check out the results around the site. Everythnig is up to date and working good. It was a great first sim, lots of surprises, upsets and great performances from some of the greatest players.

Pre-season Results!

The pre-season games results are up. Thanks to everyone who showed up live during the sim. There was 17 games simmed and the rivalries are already building in this league. Rockets and Bulls seem to be building up a big rivalry but the Magic think they are just as good and should be up there too. There were 17 games tonight and out of the 17 games, the Rockets and Bulls matchup is a matchup everyone was looking for. The Bulls went on the road to play and Michael Jordan and his Bulls came out on top. The Bulls won 114 - 93 and Michael Jordan was amazing like expected. Michael Jordan had 31 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists in the win. But that was not the only game. All of the games that were scheduled are done.

League News
Two General Managers decided to quit the league today. This is no major loss because the two GM's were not good anyways. The General Manager of the Jazz (Jermaniac) and the General Manager of the Wolves (Klew1987) quit. Klew1987 did not leave a comment for why he quit, He just got another Gm to tell me. Jermaniac quit and the reason he gave for quitting the league was "i thout this league would b good". So update delete those two Gm's off your AIM buddy lists and Two new Gm's will be in soon. The two Gm's will be replaced soon and the two Gm's were not up to the competition of CSL and just were not smart enough to even survive in this league so hopefully the two new Gm's that replace them show up soon. I have already emailed two Gm's from the league's waiting list to join.

Also I would like everyone to check out the season preview with predictions on how this season will go in CSL2. The article was written by me (the commish) and it gives detailed comments on what is going good for the team and suggestions on what the team should do.

NBA Draft 1996
It is a little early to be thinking about draft but some teams franchise is depending on how the draft goes for them. And today a list of the top 100 draft prospects has been released! I know that some of you have been asking about when it will be available but it is up and avalable now.

Pre-season Madness
It is getting a little crazy at the message boards with teams trying to schedule all of their pre-season games now. Only a few games are set and ready but there are teams still looking for a team to play against. To schedule a game just go to the message boards and you can challenge a team to play against yours, accept a challenge from another team or whatever. But remember each team gets a maximum of just 3 games. You can schedule a game against any team you want but both teams have to agree to the game at the message boards. But with the pre season games set to start June 8th, I will need every team to submit a lineup, make the signings needed to fill their roster to 12 players and if you have more than 12 players on your roster then you need to place the extra players on the injured reserve or cut them. All lineups need to be in before June 8th at 5:30pm eastern. Any lineups after that could be missed. I will try and sim this event live on a AIM chat room so if you have AIM then it would be good if you get online for it at 7:30pm eastern. That's all of the news that I have for now but keep checking the site for more news.

Free Agency Period is Done
Wow, this was the first time ever that I saw a Free agency class so weak that I got no offers for the last two days and no players signed of course. But after Free agency period was done, I simmed the training camps and the begin season process. The next sim is not until June 8th and it will be pre season games. Normally in CSL I have a pre season tournament but with little time to start the tournament, it would be very hard to run. But I will allow every team to pick and schedule their own games. Now here's how it works, Every team gets to schedule a maximum of three games. Each team can ask another team to play against and decide who gets home court advantage. When you and the team you plan to play against both agree to the game, post it here at the message boards. I will sim these games June 8th at 7:30pm eastern and I will try to sim it live in a AIM chat room for those on AIM so you can see the results. If not then just check the site for the results. That is all of the news that I have for today so good luck and remember training camps and begin season were simmed so some of your players might of improved and some might of gone in the other direction. And the schedule for next season is now available so if you are interested in checking out your teams schedule then it is now available.

Free Agency Results
The first three days of free agency period results are up! The Bulls one of the top Free agents today when they signed PG Sherman Douglas to a one year mid level exception deal. The Pistons, Bucks Raptors and Spurs also signed some free agents to help out their teams but now with the Bulls adding Sherman Douglas to their roster, it is not looking good for other teams. Anyways that's about all of the news I can think of about free agency period. Just check the transactions page to view all of the days signings. June 6th is the next sim and it will be days 4 and 5 of free agency period. The free agent pool is not deep so I am not expecting many offers but you might be able to find a good role player for your team.

I am also looking for Gm's to help out with various things around the league and I think if each Gm can help out with a few things every season then we will be able to turn this new league into a great league. Check out the message boards to see what things can be done and what is needed in the league. We already had some of the Gm's volunteer to help out with this stuff and we are looking for more. And still we are looking for just two more Gm's. We still need a Hawks and Blazers Gm. If you are interested in joining then sign up at the message boards with the required information.

First Trades in CSL2 History!

With the new CSL2 just starting up, Gm's were excited to take over and make some moves with their teams. The Orlando Magic got off trading right away with the Pistons Gm. The trade was the aging Joe Dumars for the strong PF Horace Grant and PG Brian Shaw. That was recorded as the first trade in CSL2 but the Magic were not done there. The Magic were involved in the next two deals and they really shook up their roster with huge moves. The Magic are now looking like a top team in the eastern conference that might make a run at the Bulls this season. The Warriors were also busy with changing their Franchise's years of horrible performances. The Warriors traded for the greatest PG of all-time Magic Johnson but they gave up a lot for him. Magic Johnson will be out for most of the season but when he comes back, he'll look to improve the Warriors. There is still one trade in question and likely to go through soon too. With Free agency starting soon, many teams have been talking trades and some looking to drop some cap room to sign one of the few good free agents that there is.

Free Agency Period Starts Soon!

Before the seasons starts off there is a small free agency period that needs to be simmed. This FA period has basicly nobody good available. But there is still some free agents that you might be interested in. Check out the free agents page to see the available free agents and send in your free agency bids to [email protected]. The Free agency period starts June 5th and is set to be simmed at about 7:30pm eastern but I need your FA offers before 5:30pm eastern on June 5th. Any bids after may be missed. Also, just another reminder that we still need Gm's. There are only 5 teams left that are available so if you know of any Gm's interested in joining then let them know so we can get this league going good and get it off to a success.

I also would like to tell all of the Gm's that there is a Gm check in at the general discussions section of the message boards. All Gm's are required to check in there before June 6th or they will lose their teams. That's all of the news that I have to report of today and keep checking out the message boards to see the season preview of the league that will be written by me (The Commish).

Only 8 teams left!
With the rough start and the site changes, I am finally happy to say that CSL2 found a home for now. I will be sending everyone an email later today with a small update of what's going on and I want to say sorry for all of the changes. It has been a slow start but we are looking to get things going. Thanks to everyone who has been sticking with it. But we still need more Gm's. The teams are filling up fast and I need people to sign up fast before all of the good teams are gone. There are a few teams left, but hopefully we can fill up every team soon. If you are interested in joining then check out the message boards and sign up at the bottom there. When you sign up leave your email adress and AIM screen name. It will also help if you register at the message boards when you sign up because you will be required to sign up to join the league. Also I added a poll below and I'll get a few polls up as the league starts up, so be sure to vote on the poll as I am interested in seeing how much success you people think CSL will have. Welcome to Courtside Sim League 2
Welcome to CSL 2. This is Courtside Sim League's second active league (Click here to see Courtside's other sim league). Like all league's of mine I like to make them different from every other league. And to do that I decided to start another league that sims through the past. This league will be a new sim league starting from the 1995-1996 NBA season. So top players in the league are now Michael Jordan, Hakeem Olojuwan, Gary Payton, Shawn Kemp and so many more. Most of you probably know who was good and who wasn't then so I don't need to go on too long about them. This is Stoudamire, Garnett's rookie season so they hope to kick off their CSL careers good. It's a nice season to start. It's also the first NBA season with 29 teams. The Raptors and Grizzlies just finished the expansion draft and are looking to take off and make their franchise a success. Anyways enough going on about that crap. We got a league to start and you can't start a league without Gm's right? So now I will go onto more crap.

CSL2 Needs Gm's!
We need Gm's to get this thing going and we only want the best. Now if you're interested in joining then you need to go to the message boards. It is first come first serve to get teams and that isn't always the best way to pick teams but I'm going to do it. So if you want to get a team then you got to get to the message boards quick. But before you join I suggest that you all read the rules and make sure this is the right league for you and that you won't be a quitter, cheater or any of that crap and there are some rules that people just don't like and they're in there. Most of the rules will be the same as the original courtside sim league.

I hope I covered all of the news for you and I hope you read all of that and all of the rules before you join. I want this league to be a success like the original Courtside sim league and having good Gm's is always a great way to get it going. If you don't think you'll have time for this then don't join. Sorry if that sounds mean but I want good Gm's just like every other league probably wants. So if you're looking for a league that you know will last then this is the league for you. I can get you lots of people from the original CSL league to tell you that I am a good commish and that I will keep a league going. I'm not one of those 2 week commishes who quits on his own league after 2 weeks. I keep leagues going for real and for long.

If you got bored reading all of that crap news up there then guess what? I got bored writing it so don't feel bad but if you're a good Gm then I just want you to join the league and I don't know what else to do to convince you that this will be a good and successful league.
