I am trying to get a copy of the last meeting's minutes of the Familial Bowel Cancer Sub-Committee so that I can provide some more information here. Currently, as at 5 January 2006, I haven't been able to get the minutes.
What I can say is that the Committee would really like patients at risk of any of the bowel cancers to continue with their surveillance, whether there are symptoms or not, so that cancer can be avoided as much as possible.
I know the tests are discomforting, but, really in the long run, who wants to undergo major surgery? |

Okay, here's a date we're all going to be happy about - well, I am, anyway. We're having our first ever picnic - at Kings Park! It's supposed to be for FAP patients, but if you want to come, you're more than welcome. After all, only people like us can exchange experiences like ours!
Well, the picnic was a great day and fun was had by all. We are proposing to hold one at Maylands Water Playground during Easter. We will get back to you with more on that. Photos will be uploaded soon. |
