This photo is of Alice Ann (left) and Lillian Kent. The photo was taken circa 1892 and appeared in a column called PIONEER DAYS, in the local newspaper, the Independent Enterprise, dated Feb. 8, 1967. The column, written by Dottie Edwards, was giving a biographical sketch of the Kent family. Alice Kent died on Sept. 26, 1892, from diptheria and was buried at the Washoe cemetery. Several years later, her remains were exhumed and taken to Riverside cemetery in Payette, to rest beside her parents, Harry and Elizabeth Byram Kent. Lillian Kent went on to marry Earl Kirk and make her home in Payette. |
