Characteristics of original organism
:   They swim in large schools. They are not eaten by many fish. Mackerel eat small fish and squid. They are the strongest pound for pound fish in the sea.

Adaptations
:   The larger hunt in school. The have more powerful jaws to eat prey. They will swim down prey then they all take bites out to the prey together. They have little problem eating  fish much larger than them if they are wounded.

: The female are larger and leaders of the packs.
