Review of Dreamland by Sue Brody Okay, I wanted to like this episode, I swear I did...but I couldn't. For a whole lot of reasons. Morris. Blech. I hated watching him. I hated every second of him. HATED HIM. Small Potatoes. DD has been there, done that. Yes, there were some really nice touches (he boogies with the best of them), but the whole "Getting to know you" stuff just seemed so old... Scully. Mulder is acting like a complete loon. It took her a *little* too long to react, don't you think? Or a *lot* too long. Morris was a sexist pig and Scully didn't realize it wasn't Mulder?! The first time he called her "Dana" she should have taken notice (and that happened when they stopped for gas). Morley, Nazis, Morris. Hahaha. GET IT? Yeesh. And his family...how damn annoying. Is this funny and I just am too uptight to be amused?! Do I need to watch this again, like I did with Bad Blood? At least I laughed at *some* of Bad Blood the first time I watched it. I maybe laughed for two seconds this time. Most of the time I was like, IS IT OVER YET??? The guy in charge of the investigation looked too much like Spender. To his credit, however, he was a *good* guy. What a shock that no one else was. Mulder watching porn. Now *that's* a new concept. Please. Didn't like this Scully AT ALL. Thought she was too much under the influence of Kersh. I mean, why couldn't she have *tried* to believe Mulder (real Mulder) more, at least see what he had to show her, before having him arrested? I *know* I am missing something here, but...didn't he know a bit too much to be completely making all of this up?! What the hell is up with Kersh's assistant? It was kind of amusing in Triangle, but now she is just completely annoying. Funniest thing was Scully's eating habits (bee pollen...GET IT???...FTF???...in yogurt). So GA. So not Scully. I bet GA *does* eat this. Wouldn't Mulder know Scully's badge number at this point? And couldn't they have made some reference to an event from the movie, or an earlier ep, so that only M&S would have caught it? Oh, yeah, then there wouldn't have been an ep, and we would have been spared 48 minutes of nonsense. Why wasn't I laughing more? Was it because it wasn't funny??? Will next week be funnier? (Ed. note: See my reaction to Dreamland II.)
