Theef - 03/17/00 "Insert your own Dan Quayl joke here" ~ Mulder I think that this episode was a testament to how lazy writers can get sometimes. "John Gilnitz" simply spun the four plot-o-wheels and cranked out an episode. It is also a testament to how boring TXF can be. The first time I watched this ep, I paid attention, but it was hard not to get up and get a snack or something. The second time, I watched, but had a conversation with my Mom at the same time. The third, I let the VCR fast-forward as I watched so as to condense the ep. Needless to say, I don't think this is the best of the season. But, it is not the worst. No musings this time. I will elaborate on the plot-o-wheel system. The first is for what brand of paranormal phenomenon we will be witnessing. The second is what sort of people the victims will be. The third is what sort of person the suspect will be. The forth is who will be in danger at the end, Mulder or Scully. Ingenious device, no? Rating: 2 1/2 lounge chairs out of 5
