"What happened?" ~ Scully

I found myself asking that question after finishing this one for the fourth time. I have no answer.

What did we learn about the mythology? We learned that their are rebel aliens, hell-bent on destroying everything that the Syndicate and their aliens have been working on for 50 years, their is a vaccine for the black oil that was developed by the Russians, and despite Scully's insistence, Mulder is still denying that any of what happened has anything to do with aliens...

or maybe he's starting to come around again...

I lost track of this about half-way through... it's so boring and tedious...
