Hollywood A.D. ~ 05/03/00 "It's... Aramaic!" ~ Brother Maynard, from Monty Python's Holy Grail It's obvious that David Duchovny has never seen that movie, and it is also obvious that he's a one hit wonder. "The Unnatural" was good, but this... this sucked. The plot was weak and inveigled. It couldn't decide if it wanted to be serious, funny, or in between, and it lacked a concrete direction. The acting seemed forced and unnatural. The dialog, while good at times, seemed like it was trying to be funny, and not letting the jokes and one-liners come naturally. Overall, I found the whole thing to be an eccentrically written sophomore attempt at writing an episode for one of the former greatest television shows ever to grace the air waves. Not only that, but I found it all completely unbelievable. Even though the show itself is (or was) at times unbelievable, the acting and characters at least had a shred of actual humanity and dignity. And shame. They had lots of shame. No more. Thank you, Mr. Duchovny. Now we know our show has gone to Hell. Rating: 0 lounge chairs out of 5 P.S.-- This was almost as bad as "First Person Shooter". Now, THAT'S tragedy.
