First Person Shooter - 03/02/00 "...silicone meets silicon..." - One of the Lone Gunman, I'm not sure which. I was afraid that this episode would suck. I even thought of skipping TXF and watching The Beach Boys movie instead, but like a good Phile, watched TXF and I now know that the episode sucked. Here's why: It was pure testosterone-induced, massacre producing mayhem. Besides that, it was directed by Chris Carter!!!!! Naked women don't belong on the X-Files. We played the virtual reality card in S5. Personally, I didn't like that one very much, but to me VR is boring and has no place in the X-Files. Phoebe's motive of loneliness for creating Atria (or whatever the hell her name was) was kinda shallow. She could've easily joined a women's club, or made a friend or something instead of creating a cyber-slut. I think this episode is final proof that CC and Co. should Shift+Alt+bloodbath themselves out of existence. Musings of a K.M.C.: -Wasn't "Phoebe" in Firewalker? - Is it just me, or did Scully look like she was wearing Glad Wrap at the beginning? - When Byers said "its just a flesh wound", I thought of Monty Python!!! -Your arm's off! -No it isn't. - What's that then (referring to severed arm on ground)? - Its just a flesh wound! - Mulder's voiceover at the end was completely absurd and uncalled for. That sucked too. Again: This episode sucked. Rating: .5 lounge chairs out of 5, only for reminding me of Monty Python.
