"I want to remember." ~ Mulder
Whatever happened to "I want to believe?"
Anyway, I'm confused as to whether I like this one or not. On one hand, its an interesting look at how far Mulder will go to learn the truth about what happened to his sister and the men behind it, but on the other hand, its all supposedly a hallucination anyway so what's the point of it? Is Mulder making it work out in his mind the way he wants it to work out for real? Are the memories implying that Mulder and Samantha may not be siblings after all? Or is Mulder just a raving lunatic?
Okay, I know that he IS a raving lunatic at times, but is this one of those times?
With all these questions left unanswered, I'm surprised that I almost like this one. Or maybe I really do like it, but I'm afraid of what that would say about my opinion of the mythology at this point.
By the way, is this supposed to be a mythology installment or a MotW?
As a mythology, its less than stellar, but as a MotW, its not too bad.
Or maybe I just missed the point of this one.
Or maybe their wasn't a point.
