when it comes to music, some of the bestest and freshest hails from the UK. if you haven't a clue, here are some bands/groups that have come up in england but haven't quite hit it on this end yet. when concerning UK garage, in canada it's not that popular, but in britain, groups like the heartless crew, mis-teeq and so solid crew have been tearing it up. for just your basic band the doves, i feel, are about to hit it big on this end with their brilliant CD last broadcast. of course there are some lucky bands like travis and coldplay who have had international success and are either on tour righ tnow or coming up with new compilations.
if you've never heard of it or heard it you've definitely missing out. think of the u got it bad remix by usher and that's the vibe you're gonna feel when/if you ever go to a garage club in the UK. also picture people trying to be hardcore and bling bling (which is just about the only downfall of the whole garage culture). the music is great, and a nice change from what you hear everyday. here i profile three of the more famous and up and coming garage artists in england.
heartless crew
watch out for these bands because they may be new to you. the doves that hail from manchester are out with a new album that is 5 star in my opinion, meanwhile, coldplay who had a great debut (despite their notoriously bad videos) are back two years later with their next album a rush of blood to the head. also  zero 7 has come up with a great lounge album which is very [air's] moon safari.
scottish lads travis are on a european tour this summer, however recently drummer neil primrose (second from left) slipped by a pool and injured his spine [sounds painful!]. but travis says that he is expected to have a full recovery really soon. what a relief.
no its not thom yorke!
