| Stickem Stig at the Odense tattoo parlor expressed great sorrow at the news Edgar Allan has been prohibited from getting a tattoo on his shoulder. I was finding it a fantastic challenge to make a tattoo on Edgar, who is covered with black fur all over his body, Stig said. I would be very honored to put the picture of himself in my portfolio once I made the art. For now, and forever if Mom has it her way, Stig will be denied his dream. Mom flat-out denied Edgar when he asked her permission as well as an advance on his allowance to pay for the tattoo. No cat of mine is going to be seen in public with a tattoo! she bawled. Edgar Allan tried to point out that both Monie and Gizmo have tattoos, and they are girls, respectable ones even. Mom was not convinced. |

| Edgar Allan had hoped to get a tattoo on his left shoulder. Although he hadnt decided on a precise design, he had narrowed his options to a Harley Davidson eagle, skull and crossbones or the bluebird of happiness flying over a rainbow. I was leaning toward the bird, because I so enjoy catching and eating them. But now, Mom has ruined everything. She is being so unreasonable, he said, stomping his foot in frustration. Edgar is correct that Monie and Gizmo have tattoos. In fact, they both have two one in each ear. Monies is an excellent etching of the number 26072. Its my lucky number! said Monie. Gizmo, who sports 58120, doesnt know what the number means, but when I wiggle my ears, they look like butterflies flying, more or less. Annette said the girls tattoos are for safety purposes in case they get lost. Authorities would be able to cross check the numbers to find their home address. But Mom wont even let Edgar Allan get a tattoo in his ear. She reasons that a black tattoo on a black cat is as sensible as adding sugar to honey. Besides, no cat of mine is going to be seen in public with a tattoo! Whats next? A pierced tail? she asserted. |
