What fantastic fun rafting on the Nymboida River is. These pictures were taken by Larry, "Adrenalin River Photo's", on the 22nd of March 1997 (except for the last one, which was taken by me). "Lucy" (our raft) did well that day, with no unintentional capsises (quite a few intentional ones - to avoid the effort of bailing)(and just for fun). This was due to a large degree to the power of the crew, and the cunning of Sally the Captain. Luck also played a part.
This shot was taken looking down onto the river at a point which was considered too dangerous for us passengers - we had to walk around the obsticle. We had to jump into the river from a point about a metre higher than where this shot was taken (14 metres). Note the Dunlop Volley! |
