... but then it drove off, the guy told me that he had sent it to the front. I said "It better not have been Paul !!!" ... So then I basically ran after the limo ... The door opened, and Jason McCoy came out. I went to speak to him for a bit and got a pic taken with him. That was my 3rd time meeting him. He went into the theater, and not long after I decided to go in too... I hid in the back, and watched Jason practice his lines ...
I walked around again, and I looked for Paul, but he was no where in sight ... I went back to where they were practicing, and then, I SAW PAUL !!!!!!!!!
And then, it started ~ I was sitting there watching the dress rehearsal !!! I saw the entire award show before everybody !!! Obviously, the only thing they didn't do is name the winner, but they actually presented awards to people... All the artists were there, except for the Wilkinsons. I freaked at one point when I saw Terri Clark walk out 'cause I didn't expect to see her there.
Paul was doing a good job, but he was nervous. Unlike at the award show where he did a fab job and was very calm !!! Paul performed " That's the Truth" ~ I was jumping around and dancing like if it were a real concert... but it was way more intimate then a concert 'cause we were about 20 people there. When rehearsal ended, I found my way backstage, but it was too late, Paul and everybody else had left ... So I went home and changed, then I went back to the theater for the actual show.
I was seated on the lower level which was pretty good. The crowd went nuts when Paul walked out during the pre-show in his leather pants !!! Rrrrrrrrr !!! It was really cool 'cause I was sitting technically behind the Wilks so I got to see them jump up and everything the first time they won. I was sreaming like crazy everytime Paul would walk out. And everytime they would say " And the winner is ... " and Paul would be nominated, I'd scream out " PAUL BRANDT !!!!!! " I recorded it, and I can actually hear myself screaming !!! What was really cool is that during the commercials, the artists would either walk on stage to perform, or they would go back to their seats , everybody would go crazy, and it was just sooo cool being a part of that. Besides for Paul, Terri and Michelle Wright were well received by the audience.
Paul's performance of 3T ~ AWESOME !!! I had a hard time sitting still !!! And when he won male vocalist ~ I swear to God, I was the one that started that standing ovation 'cause the moment she said his name, I was up on my feet, then people started getting up !!! I felt so proud !!! :) Paul was very moved by it too... Well, the ended :( But I still had an awesome day !!!
If you heard somebody screaming like crazy for Jaimie Warren and Rick Tippe, that was my mom. She loves those guys. When we were waiting for our ride, Rick Tippe walked right by us, but my mom was in Awwwwww so she didn't say anything to him... But as we were driving away, Jaimie walked by as well, but this time she jumped out of the car to go meet him. It was soooooo funny, had to be there ... It was nice meeting him ...
