The bank and people
were good, aircon was cool, big and bright, with ceiling 20
feet high. People in BF were friendly, greeted you, they looked at you when
asking questions gently, they chatted with you when taking about things.
BF had better offer, provided the 5 Year Time deposit, with high rate of 9.5%,
soon turned 10%. So our money from moved to Banco Filipino.
March 16, 2011 government announced on tv Banco Filipino had problem.
My father text every teller in every bank, the next day he went
there, it was closed by Central Bank, Who
was right ? BF or Central Bank ? Of course Central Bank,
because all depositors wanted to get their money back. Later, a
depositors' meeting was held in the
Batangas City Quadrangle.
I saw a man from PDIC saying where to get the
claim forms.

6, we submitted our claim forms according to the schedule. At 10
o'clock we were at the third row waiting outside Banco Filipino.
I
saw a women in and out the door complaining that no aircon and said
that she would collapsed without aircon, but the security guards drove
her away, put her at the end.
I knew this time patient and tolerance would win. When we got
inside, a PDIC woman offered us the claim forms, she also checked my
ID’s and got my passbook.
At Jun 28, 2011, we claimed most of our deposit.
In Feb 2012, all of our deposit returned. PDIC saved our deposit. At 2013, most depositors claimed the saving back, PDIC did good job.
