Collective art is a great way to meet fellow Americas from all over the country. Its a program that is inexpensive and well worth taking the time to set up and be part of. Its a way to bond your comunity together with another comunity that has the same name or a way to different town can meet through art. So Monroe, Mississippi can meet Monroe, Michigan.
     Our country needs a way to be bound together and collective art is an inexpensive way for that happen. No one is making money on C.A.T.N.I.P. . This program is a free program, all you have to do is set it up and mail it to the town you want to meet.
     To make it easier I'm setting down a few steps you can follow. Now these are not the only way to do C.A.T.N.I.P. any way that you chose to do it is fine as long as it works.
     1) Set up the A-frame from the how to set up collective art peaces page Button 1
     2) Have all the people draw something following the guideline from the page that tell you how to run a collective art peace. Button 2. If its a school class make it a couple of day project. On the first day have them draw something, then on the next day have them add somrthing to someone elses art. This makes the children work together on someone elses art.
     3) Before you start the art peace make sure you have the other town you want to send it to. This way you can let the people who are drawing know that the art peace is going to a certain town.
      4) Make sure that there is always someone watching the art peace while it is being done. All it takes is one idiot to ruin a whole art peace. So keep an eye on it.
     5) Send an E-mail or phone the other town to let them know about the art peace your doing. This way you can have them try to do one for your town at their next festival.
     6) If you are doing a festival try to get a youth group from the town to set it up. This way the young people have a part of the art peaces history.

     These are just suggestions, the way you do the art peace is up to you and your group. The main thing is for you to have Fun. C.A.T.N.I.P. is also an excellant program for shelters in time of emergincies. Set one up and let the people at the shelter know that the art peace that is being done is going to another shelter to give them hope. It doesn't take much money and the people in both places feel as though the art peace they are doing is going to help another person it the same situation .
