Bob's US-spec Lexus SC400 'Soarer' at the 'tree of life' in Bahrain. The Lexus SC400 (Toyota Soarer in Japan) is a 2-door sports coupe made for the Japanese and American markets, and not sold in Europe. Our trip to Bahrain that weekend, was undertaken in order to locate the Lexus dealer. In an example of Saudi business logic the Lexus dealer in Khobar refuses to service US-spec cars which have been independently imported. In contrast the Bahraini dealer does not turn away good business for such a trivial reason!

The 'tree of life' is a Bahraini tourist attraction. Located in the middle of desert, it is an isolated symbol of life in an otherwise desolate landscape.
