Rear view of a mid 1980s Chevrolet Caprice. The faded paintwork from the harsh sun and the bruised bodywork belie a car with venerable mechanicals, that survives better than any other type of sedan in Saudi Arabia.

These cars are so popular that they keep their value very well. Running 1980s Caprices can still go for more than SR15000 (GBP2750), if they have current Istermara (registration) and MVPI (inspection certificate).
