The 'lemon' - my former 1990 Lincoln Continental pictured in the car park at the rear of Al Dorra apartments. This car was clean, it looked good, it had low mileage and was very comfortable to drive, but that's about where its good points ended. This model suffered numerous endemic problems, as I was to find out later when doing research about the car on the internet. Stories abound from unhappy owners, mostly complaining about the same problems, i.e. air suspension, head gaskets, transmission, power steering and electrical niggles. The car had a lot of nice features and must have been attractive to US buyers back in 1990. But the many problems suggest strongly that Ford's design and/or testing procedures were woefully inadequate.

The morale of this story is do your research on a particular model BEFORE buying the car!
