These are the twin towers of the World Trade Center (when in Rome, spell like the Romans). They overtook the Empire State Building as the tallest buildings in New York City, and the view from the top is stunning (although when you go on a cloudy day, as we did, the effect is somewhat less). On a clear day, you can even see the curvature of the Earth!
