8th Avenue was the main street nearest the hostel we were staying in. Our hostel was actually on 20th street, and I am standing in the intersection of this to take the photo.
The hostel was in a brilliant position. We were only about 10 minutes from famous attractions such as the Empire State Building, Madison Square Garden and Greenwich Village. Everywhere else was just a short subway ride away.
