Author Nasar, Sylvia. Title A beautiful mind : a biography of John Forbes Nash, Jr., winner of the Nobel Prize in economics, 1994 / Sylvia Nasar. Imprint New York, NY : Simon & Schuster, 1999. Edition 1st Touchstone ed. Descript 459 p. : ill. ; 24 cm. Note "A Touchstone book." Includes bibliographical references (p. [435]-437) and index.
Note   several data of the history of mathematics given in this text are altogether wrong. One wonders that the author, reportedly a writer for the New York Times on the subject of economics, did not know who the authors of e.g. the differential calculus were (Newton and Leibnitz, independently). Perhaps this knowledge is not needed by a New York Times' expert on economics. (?) However, the book lists about four actual 'experts' on mathematics as consultants. Did not four American experts on mathematics know who the authors of the differential calculus were ?

The story of the theory of relativity is also misrepresented in this text.

Author Goldsman, Akiva. Title A beautiful mind / screenplay and introduction by Akiva Goldsman. Imprint New York : Newmarket Press, c2002. Edition 1st ed. Descript ix, 146 p. : ill. ; 24 cm. Series Newmarket shooting script series book. Note Screenplay based on Sylvia Nasar's A beautiful mind.

Note   This text is a plain fraud, the author likely having been bribed by some psycho-pharmaceutic groups.

John Nash had recovered from some psychotic states on his own self-determinism, simply be changing his life habits. This important datum has been given altogether wrongly by Mr. A. Goldman and went abroad by means of a popular movie based on this script.

The history of Nash's recovery given by that movie is false.
