Summer 2001 Trip to Oklahoma

In July, right before school was to begin, Aunt Katie, Elizabeth, Gabi, Blake and Paul and NeeNee took a trip to Oklahoma.� Click on the links on this page to see pictures from our trip. We stayed in a motel in Ardmore, Oklahoma.� We stayed two nights and three days.� The first day, we went swimming in the motel pool, then went out to dinner at El Chico's!

Then on Saturday, we got up and headed to Arbuckle Wilderness.� We had been to Arbuckle Wilderness during Spring Break, too, and we love seeing the animals, so NeeNee agreed to take us back.� We drove our "rented" van through the park and got to feed the animals out of the side doors, and take pictures of them UP CLOSE!!� Yikes!!!

After driving through the animal part, we had lunch at the restaurant, then went to the rides and petting zoo.� Elizabeth and Paul rode together in a Go Kart, and then Gabi, NeeNee, Elizabeth and Paul drove the paddle boats around the lake.� Then Elizabeht, Gabi and I went to the Petting Zoo. Katie and Blake waited inside, as it was 100 degrees outside!!�

We all gathered together and looked for souvenirs from the Gift Shop.� While there, the owner brought out a baby Black Panther, and I got to pet him.�

That night we drove to Lake Murray and looked around, then came back to Ardmore and ate dinner at the Two Frogs Restaurant.

Sunday we slept in, then headed to Lake Texoma, where we ate lunch at Eddie Deens, played in a HUGE sand pit (Sand Volleyball Court) and came on home that afternoon.� We sure had a great time in Oklahoma!!
