Hillbilly Express have been playing good-time hillbilly style music for over 20 years, mainly in the East London and South-West Essex
areas. The aim remains the same today as it did at the beginning: to entertain and give folks every opportunity to have a great time.
What can you expect? - A 5-piece band having banjo, guitar, mandolin, bass and drums. An evening of country, bluegrass and
hillbilly music with some rock'n roll and other stuff thrown in - even Chas and Dave! The highlight of most evenings are the barn
dances, each of which is explained in an easy step-by-step fashion. If you get it wrong? All the more fun!
It is important for organisers to make sure that guests do know what a Hillbilly Express evening is all about. Those coming with
an expectation to hear Led Zeppelin are going to be disappointed. That's all there is to it, for a great event, no matter what the
reason, call Ray Pepper on

and we'll help you make your event a night to remember. The price is £400.

Ray Pepper has been playing the five-string bluegrass banjo since the 1970s and has been teaching students for over ten years.
All lessons are one-to-one and are held at his home in Barkingside, Essex. There is ample scope for all levels, absolute beginners to
advanced banjo pickers. There is a high-quality school banjo to use during lessons if necessary although, as in all musical instruments,
the real work is done at home with your own banjo. The lessons will show you what to do, all in slow and logical steps
(you'll notice that the word "easy" has been carefully avoided) and is augmented with simplified musical notation (tab)
and some cassette recordings of lesson elements. All you'll need is determination, lots of it, and time for practice.
