November 4
Alright time for my update, finally some stuff to report.

I have finished everything that I am required to have for this process.  I did my typing test on Monday and did my medical and dental today.
The typing test wasn't what I expected.  To practice my typing I downloaded a free typing test off of the internet.  So with me typing all good I went to SIAST to take the test.  Now, with the test that I downloaded, if you spelled a word incorrectly it would mark it and you would have to move on.  The one that SIAST had looked like it was from 1984.  I was given a typed sheet to look at and type, at the end the computer went over the entire text and checked  for spelling mistakes.  But I ended doing quite well at it anyways, I got 38 words per minute with 0 mistakes, all I was required to get is 18.

As for my medical it went quite easily, I showed up at Depot to see the doctor that they have on base.  After checking my hearing and vision with the nurse I had to wait for the doctor to check me out.  While in the waiting room I had a chance to chat with a couple of cadets that were waiting as well.  It was cool to see where I might be in a couple of months, hopefully.  The part of the physical that I was not looking forward to was the prostate exam, luckily for me the doctor that examined me said that he only checks the guys over 40 (thank God).
So after the exam I had to get a chest X-RAY and some blood work done.  I asked the nurse if she was going to leave me any blood after she took the fifth vial of blood, they sure need a lot.
Then it was off to the dentist for the fastest dental experience that I ever had in my life.  From the time I walked into the office to the time I left was about 10 minutes.  I had a couple of X-RAYs and then the dentist checked out my mouth. I questioned why I would need to see a dentist in order to get in and he told me that they don't want you running up a big tab once you get in.  If you need any work done they make you sign a waiver saying that you will get it fixed within a certain amount of time on your dime.  He also said that he has rejected a couple of people from the force because of severe infections, Gross.
But with me all he said he had to do is document any fillings that I had, with zero fillings it was quite easy for him.

So all the stuff that I had to do, and get and run are over.  My fate now lies with the fine people of recruiting.  I think I will phone the office tomorrow and see how my file is doing, see how long they think I have left.
The end is near, oh please let is be near.......
