So I called the office and they confirmed the email. While I had her on the line I asked her about how long I had before I would get a call. She told me that this year's troops are all filled up, so a the very earliest I would be going in January, but she wouldn't say for sure. So looks like the waiting game will continue for this year anyways. :-(
