July 11
Well I just wrote my psychological evaluation today.  That was an interesting experience.  I didn't know what to expect.  I thought maybe I would have to sit down and talk to a regional psychologist and she would ask me a bunch of questions and such, but it wasn't like that at all.  First off it was a group of about 12 people that showed up, I even recognized some of the people from the RPAT testing.  The test wasn't what I thought either.
All it consisted of was around 550 true of false questions.  It had little sentences and you had to say true if they applied to you and false if they didn't.  The regional psychologist was there but all she did was explain the basics of the test, how to read the questions and know exactly what they are looking for.  I am not allowed to go into specifics about the questions, sorry. But trust me, some of them were quite bizarre. Then she said something that surprised me.  In the group I was in she said that she would be calling on average around 5 or 6 people to have them come in and talk about the test results.  I didn't think the percentage was that high.  The time allowance was 2 1/2 hours to finish.  I was the first one done at about an hour and a half, which is unusual for me, I don't think I have ever been the first to finish a test.
This test was out of order for the recruitment process, usually this test is done near the end of the process.  I was puzzled why that was until the psychologist said that we were selected to do this now because she was going on vacation the day after we wrote and she wanted it out of the way.  Well here I thought I was special or something, oh well...........
